Privacy Policy — TN Calendar & Tasks

Last updated: November 5, 2026

TN Calendar & Tasks ("the extension") is a Mozilla Thunderbird extension developed by TNCode. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

The extension is in development. Google Calendar features are implemented; event reminders and system notifications in the current development version have not yet been tested in Thunderbird. Google Tasks functionality is not yet implemented.

Data the extension accesses

The current development version requests these permissions when you sign in with your Google account:

• Google Calendar (scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar): access to your calendar list and event data, including event details, attendees, reminders and attachment or meeting links, to display and synchronize calendars and events and support creation, updates, deletion and invitation responses where permitted by your access rights.
• Google Tasks (scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks): this permission is currently requested, but task list and task synchronization and editing are not implemented. Permissions will be reviewed before distribution.

How the data is used and stored

• The data is used only to provide the extension's features to you inside Thunderbird.
• The extension runs on your computer. Its sign-in and synchronization requests use Google's sign-in and API servers. TNCode does not operate a backend that receives your calendar data or sign-in tokens from the extension.
• Synchronized calendar data, calendar settings, account identifiers and local reminder state are kept in your Thunderbird profile or in memory. Calendar and reminder changes are sent to Google as needed for synchronization.
• Google refresh tokens are saved in Thunderbird's password manager on your computer. Access tokens are held in memory by the extension.
• The extension contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. Diagnostic entries are generated locally and can include account identifiers and event details. They are not uploaded automatically; if you choose to copy or export them for support, review them before sharing.

Sharing

The extension does not sell your data or automatically send calendar data or sign-in tokens to TNCode. Calendar updates and invitation responses are sent to Google; depending on your actions and calendar sharing settings, Google may make those updates available to organizers, guests or other calendar users.

If you choose to open an event, meeting or attachment link, Thunderbird or your browser opens the destination website. That website's privacy policy applies to that visit. If you contact support or share diagnostics, TNCode receives the information you choose to send.

Google API Services User Data Policy

TN Calendar & Tasks' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access and deleting data

• You can revoke the extension's access at any time in your Google Account, under Third-party apps & services.
• Removing a calendar or uninstalling the extension does not guarantee deletion of all cached data, settings or saved credentials. Remove saved credentials through Thunderbird's password manager and manage remaining local data through Thunderbird's profile and calendar settings.
• Revoking access or uninstalling the extension does not delete your calendars or events from your Google Account. Manage cloud data in Google Calendar.
